In 2004, Liu Xiang (刘翔), a 21-years-old 110-meter hurdler from Shanghai and the champion of the Athens Olympics, became a new national hero.


Objectively speaking, due to ethnological reasons, it is rare that an East Asian won a track-and-field gold medal. So people admired Liu very much.


But Liu's ex-wife Ge Tian (葛天) became people's laughingstock. In a shoddily made TV series, Ge played a wife visiting her husband in prison.


After they met, Ge unexpectedly took out a grenade from her crotch of trousers as a jailbreak weapon. People guffawed for the absurd and obscene plot.
