On March 20, 2003, the United States launched the Iraq War that attracted worldwide attention. China's state-run TV station reported the progress of the war 24 hours a day.

Every morning, when people walked into their office, the first thing was to talk about yesterday's war situation, especially when, where and how to capture Saddam Hussein.

Interestingly, the person who left the deepest impression on people was neither George W. Bush nor Saddam Hussein, but Mohammed Saeed al-Sahaf, magniloquent Iraqi information minister.

When US tanks were only 500 meters away from him, he still bombastically bragged to journalists: "Our heroic Iraqi army has completely driven cowardly American invaders to the hell!"
