In 2001, I watched two movies which I would never forget in my life. In the previous 40 years and in the following 20 years, I have never watched movies being comparable with them.

The first was American movie "The Shawshank Redemption" (肖申克的救赎). To a certain extent, it is the contemporary version of the classical novel "The Count of Monte Cristo".

The second was Italian movie "Once Upon a Time in America" (美国往事). In China, movie critics and fans usually say that "The Godfather" is better than it, but I prefer it.

To this day, I still clearly remember those beautiful frames of young Deborah (portrayed by Jennifer Connelly) solo-dancing in the mill (or granary). What a great movie!
