Today, there is no any news about Falun Gong (FLG, see 264) in the media, but people privately admit that FLG is one of the biggest enemies of the party for two reasons.

The first is that FLG has powerful media resources abroad, including websites, newspapers, shortwave broadcasts, television channels, and even a song-and-dance art troupe.

The second is that FLG has created two powerful VPN freeware, which can help China's internet users successfully break through the notorious Great Firewall built in mid-2000s.

Now, FLG and the party are still fighting fiercely. Turning FLG, a nonviolent religious sect, into an adversary probably is one of the most unwise mistakes made by the party.
